10K!

The Day that I've been running my booty off for 6 weeks has finally come and gone. (please excuse the nasty sweaty-ness of this picture of me, I did just run for 1 hr. straight)

My dear DEAR friend, Leigh ran the Fort Worth Zoo's 10K race with me this past weekend. Aside from the 5 a.m. wake up time, the slight morning drizzle, the unexpected smell of exotic animal feces, and the fact that we had to run a 10K, we had a BLAST! There were a ton of people who showed up, I was reminded of my old cross country days in high school.

Really, I had so much fun, but I'm really glad that it's over :)

After the race, Leigh and I celebrated by eating a huge pancake breakfast @ IHOP w/ our friend, Kelly. Then we went back to Dallas, got showered, and shopped till we dropped, literally. I love shopping with my friend Leigh because we have similar taste and she's always up for anything. We ended up going to see "I love you, Man" which I had already seen, but she had free movie passes and I was willing to see it again b/c I knew she would like it. It's one of those movies that I am kind of embarrassed to think is funny, but I secretly like it.

I am very VERY glad that the whole 10K thing is done, I think from now on I'm going to stick to 5K's and under.

Meagan I'm so proud of you for running a freaking 10K!! There is no way I would have been able to get out of bed on a Saturday morning at 5am to run--I don't think i could get up that early to eat! Glad it's over for you--and glad you got to hang out with Leigh for the day! you guys look so cute in your running stuff with your numbers!

Good job sis! I could not, would not ever attempt such a thing. I actually tried to convince Todd that we should do one of those kind of things together after the baby is born and he shut me down completley....which is probably good since I have zero endurance! Glad you had such a fun day!

Todd wants me to tell you that he is proud of you for running the 10K. He is impressed.
