Well, if not...I do.
I hate anything that has to do with:
1)thinking about math and or numbers/financial stuff.
2)dealing with official government stuff b/c it intimidates me.
3)being reminded of how much the government takes out of my paycheck.
I know that taxes are something everyone has to deal with, but I for one have had it with them. They suck, and I don't want to think about them. Plus I've never had a good experience with doing them. 2 years ago I went through the whole "you don't know your real birthday" thing with, I'm sorry, but the complete imbeciles that work at Social Security. (see related blog post here).
After that, I decided to let a professional deal with it, so I had my wonderfully talented CPA friend, Ashley Ketchersid do them for me. She did a great job because she is an amazing person who actually does like dealing with tax stuff. But as it turned out I owed $$ b/c I had one wrong number filled out on a form at work. So that sucked.
I know what you might be thinking, that I could have avoided some of these problems by being more knowledgeable about the doing-taxes world...well you may be right. HOWEVER. I accept that I'm not knowledgeable about it, and I am a much happier person 364 days out of the year because of it. I guess one day of tax misery is better than a whole year of keeping facts about taxes in my brain...uggghhhh...even the thought of a life spent knowing about tax stuff makes me cringe. When it comes to this, ignorance TRULY is bliss for me.
So...this year all I want is for everything to go as smoothly as possible...and by that I mean to get a return even if it's only $1, and to not have someone tell me that I wasn't born on my birthday. So lets cross our fingers that this tax season is different for us, taxes.

I won't tell you that Todd takes care of all our tax stuff...or that we got almost $4,000 back this year :). Oops, I did tell you.
